Pastrami in a Burrito?

Sure, why not. This morning’s breakfast:

  • 2 eggs
  • pastrami
  • turkey pepperoni
  • sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 flour tortilla

Put your canola oil in the pan, let it heat a little on the burner. Throw the eggs in and scramble (I learned this technique from an episode of “Homicide: Life on the Street” of all places, so I call it “Homicide Style,” which isn’t the most appetizing appellation, but whatever).

After the eggs have started to firm, add cheese and let it melt a bit. Then throw in the pastrami and pepperoni.

Remove the pan from the burner. Throw the tortilla on, and flip it a few times. Don’t let the tortilla sit too long on the burner or it will catch fire and your house could burn down. If that happens, you are an idiot.

Lay your grilled tortilla flat on a plate. Dump the egg mixture on top. Wrap. Eat. Maybe garnish with some hot sauce (might I recommend Pepper Plant?).

Yum…

On this day…
