Book Promotion

Now that the book is finished, it’s time for promotion. This is difficult for me. I feel extremely comfortable writing, but promoting myself is a whole other animal. I’m learning a lot by reading Guerrilla P.R.: How You Can Wage an Effective Publicity Campaign…Without Going Broke (aff link), and next I’ll need to figure out how to apply these concepts.

The basic idea, as I understand it, is to get in everyone’s face as much as humanly possible. To that end, I’m launching emails all over the place (individually — spam might be more effective in the short run but I’d feel like a creep if I went that route). I’ve also gathered a list of names and numbers of folks to contact about getting media coverage, local distribution, etc.

I’m very much a fish out of water here. We’ll see how it goes…
