Song of the Moment: Quarterflash, “Harden My Heart”

I go a decade or more without hearing this tune, and then it pops up on me twice in one week. Go figure. That sax riff is so cheesy, but the singer has a nice voice, in a Pat Benatar lite kind of way.

The ’80s were a weird time for music. Punk. New wave. Hair metal. How did acts like Quarterflash, Scandal, and The Motels fit into all that? I have no idea.
