Ankle Tattoo Blues: Recording Issues
I need to rethink my strategy of recording vocals on Tuesday and Thursday nights. After a full day of work and the stresses it brings, my voice is not in the best condition for singing. I can do it, but I’m thinking that weeknights are better for programming and laying down instrumental tracks. Vocals should be done on the weekends, when I have more time and I’m more relaxed.
Speaking of vocals, I’m trying to record those now but I have a problem. When the “tape” is rolling, the meters tell me we’re recording. But when I play it back, there are no vocals. I thought it might be the mic since I’ve only used the PS5’s built-in condenser in the past, but I tested on another song and everything was fine. I suspect it may be a memory issue, although it looks like there’s plenty of room on the Compact Flash card.
Maybe I’ll try deleting some old songs, see if that helps…
