Ankle Tattoo Blues: Music

Started rehearsing ahead of schedule because I’m still in the irrationally enthusiastic part of the project and because I was concerned I might not remember all the changes. But I did, and here they are:

intro
G - A - D

verse
Bm - A - F#m - G - A
Bm - A - F#m - G - A - D

chorus
F5 - G5 (x4)
Am - F - G - C

As I was rehearsing, I thought the verse progression sounded familiar. Sure enough, it’s the same as the verses for Marillion’s “Kayleigh” (”Do you remember…”). The tempo and vocal line, however, are very different. There’s also apparently a Michelle Branch song that uses these chords in the chorus.

Not the most sophisticated progression in the world but I like it.
