Ankle Tattoo Blues: Challenges
When deciding the order in which to record this collection of songs, I chose to put the ones that need the most work at the front and the ones that were closest to being done at the end. This piece needs a lot of work. It’s been written and arranged. But it hasn’t been played in several months and I’m not 100% on the arrangement or even the chord changes.
The biggest challenge with Ankle Tattoo Blues will be to remember exactly how the tune goes, with all the various nuances, and to deliver something close to the original vision. This one will need a lot of rehearsal before I go into the studio.
